Polar Plunge Fundraiser Event

I enjoy sharing impressive numbers on the blog, and usually they relate to taxes… not today! Goodwill’s Polar Plunge fundraising event on Saturday raised $1,100 dollars in just four hours – talk about massively impressive numbers!

Goodwill’s team, composed of employees, families, and friends, will jump into the icy waters at Olson Lake this coming Saturday to raise money for Special Olympics. The money will help give people with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competitions. You can help show your support by donating money here: Click!

Check back next week for photos and results from the Polar Plunge!

Photos taken at Oscar’s Pub and Grill. Courtney Geiger, our Director of Mission Services and long-time “Polar Plunger”, is pictured with her family and Debbie Kelly, the Special Olympics Area Director. Oscar’s generously donated a portion of food and drink sales to help Goodwill’s fundraising efforts for the Polar Plunge. In addition, many gifts were raffled off – check out the nifty items above!
